Coaching is a partnership for
clarity, vision and action.
Let's be partners in compassion.

Here and Now with Lillian
My compassionate coaching approach is a toolbox of ICF coaching, ImmunityToChange (ITC) from Harvard, mindfulness, theatre, voice work, art healing therapy and non-violent communication. I bring to each coaching session and coaching relationship also my candor, transparency and care. Most importantly, I have absolute trust and confidence in your agency and potential for transformation.

Why compassion?
I use the term "compassionate coaching" because it is the opposite of transactional coaching. When it is transactional, it is coaching to reach a specific goal that the external world has decided to set for you. Rather, compassionate coaching is about the goals YOU set for yourself, and supporting you to see clearly the assets you have, create the vision that you have all that you need and take actions to live out the immense potentials already in you.

About Lillian Zhang
Born and raised in the forests of South China, I grew up to be an Earth lover and explorer. After getting my three masters in law and education at Peking University, Harvard University (twice!), I lived and worked in Asian and North America as a public interest lawyer, an education leader, an improvisation trainer, and now most importantly as a compassionate coach and consultant. I am certified with International Coaching Federation, Harvard Peer Coaching Initiative and the YES,AND Coaching Institute. I work a lot with the higher ed community: students, staff, faculty, the legal community: lawyers, law students, judges and prosecutors. I am most experienced in the four following topics:

Self Affirmation
If you are bearing the brunt of perfectionism, fear of failure and risks, being critical and buried in self-judgement, having self-loathing emotions, I am here to support you in navigating these narratives and and transforming them into a true and compassionate storytelling for yourself.

Relationship Clogs
Do you feel that there are clouds and clogs in your relationship within family and friends that make you feel stressed out and even burned out? Often times those could be lifted and untangled by your own clarity and change. I find a few coaching frameworks are especially helpful to support that kind of clarity and change.

Identity Crisis
You may be experiencing identity crisis that result in your energy being drained away, not knowing who your true belonging lies. Please reach out and have my support as a mirror, an active listener and teammate in managing the situation.

Career Challenges
The professional environment you are in or about to enter might be full of limitations that make you want to escape. You might be in a moment of life transitions and pivoting. Let's work towards liberation from those constraints and achieving freedom in career exploration, choice, transition and development.
